Should You Scale Your Business With SEO or PPC?

SEO vs PPC

Business owners, no matter big or small, would know (or at least heard of) the terms SEO and PPC. In case you have not, these are two key terms of digital marketing. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, while PPC stands for Pay-per-click. Ok, so now you know what they stand for, but what exactly do they mean anyway?

What is SEO?

Search engine optimization or SEO is the process of getting your website to rank higher on search results on Google. It can be achieved by improving the quality of your website with rich content, optimizing its speed, and the relevance to the keywords. By ranking high on search results, you will get organic (unpaid) traffic to your website.

What is PPC?

Pay-per-click or PPC is a type of internet marketing where you pay for advertisements when users click on your ads. Unlike SEO, traffic to your website is paid rather than organic. PPC comes in various forms including paid search ads, display ads, social media ads, shopping ads, and retargeting ads.

You must be thinking about which one the better option is to scale your business with.

Which One To Go For?

It depends on you and your business goals. Some people prefer SEO, while some others prefer PPC. Pay-per-clicks work better for eCommerce businesses who want to get sales as soon as their store launches because it would be tough for them to get to the top of the search results.

However, if your business is more focused on the long term, then SEO is the better option as it is free of cost and will lead to brand awareness over time. You will get consistent organic traffic, that could lead to sales or leads for your business.
